Oppo is already working on the Find X8 Ultra, revealed Zhou Yibao, product manager of the Find series. According to the director, the new phone will be thinner than its predecessor, but will bring a big improvement in the battery department with a new cell that will have a capacity of 6,000 mAh.
The executive revealed that the Find X8 Ultra will feature an IP68-certified body against water and dust infiltration with a glass back, likely with a matte finish. The body will be thinner than 9.5mm (the thickness of Find X7 Ultra) and will also have a smaller camera bump.
Speaking of the battery, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. OnePlus, another smartphone brand from BBK Electronics, has already revealed that its next few flagships will a lighter battery with a larger capacity than the current Li-Ion cells; it is therefore logical that sister company Oppo will also make use of this Glacier Battery Technology.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is likely to retain the quad-cam design with dual periscope cameras on the rear, while the front will get a quad-curved OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution.
