Apart from the long-awaited Xiaomi-15 And Xiaomi 15 Proat its event in China today, Xiaomi also unveiled the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro. These are almost flagship tablets, but not quite, as they use upper mid-range chipsets: the Pad 7 goes with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, and the Pad 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
They both have an 11.2-inch 3200 x 2136 LCD touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate and 800 nits peak brightness, and an 8,850mAh battery, but while the ‘vanilla’ model charges up to 45W, the Pro goes up to 67W.
The Pad 7 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, while the Pro has a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera. Both models run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, presumably on top of Android 15, although that hasn’t been confirmed yet. You get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on both.
Both tablets are available in 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB RAM/storage combinations, with the Pro also having an exclusive 12/512 GB version. Dimensions are identical between the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro: 251.22 x 173.42 x 6.18mm, and each weighs exactly 500 grams. They will both be available in black, blue and green.
The Pad 7 starts at CNY 1,999 (about $280 at current exchange rates).
