Introduction
The Xiaomi 14T is what a flagship killer looks like these days. It’s a premium smartphone with top features like display, performance and camera, but without the extra value-adding non-essential tricks.
The new Xiaomi 14T introduces a refined, flat design, still IP68 rated as the 13T. What else is the same is the 6.67-inch CrystalRes OLED screen with a resolution of 1220p, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, 12 bit color depth and Dolby Vision certification. The only screen improvement according to the official specifications is the peak brightness of 4,000 nits.
The Xiaomi 14T has an upgraded chipset, now Dimensity 8300-Ultra, with a newer and more powerful CPU, improved graphics and faster UFS 4.0 storage.

The Leica camera is what the Xiaomi 14T will heavily advertise and, as usual, its main feature. There are still three cameras on the back with a new 50MP primary camera, followed by a 50MP 2x telephoto and a 12MP ultra-wide imager. There are plenty of useful video capture features, such as bokeh and Rack Focus.
The Xiaomi 14T boots the latest Android and HyperOS with a bunch of AI tricks, including Gemini. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 67W fast wired charging.
The Xiaomi 14T isn’t a huge improvement over the Xiaomi 13T – sure, there’s a slightly more powerful and newer chip and a more modern sensor for the primary camera, but that’s about it. This doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the most interesting devices on the market right now. If only it had a better selfie camera, but it seems Xiaomi is still stuck in its old-school ways here.
Unpacking the Xiaomi 14T
The Xiaomi 14T comes in a thinner box than usual, and our suspicions turned out to be correct: there is no charger inside!
What you get is a black silicone casing, a USB-AC cable, and a thin folio already attached to the screen.
Xiaomi was one of the last bastions of the “always ship with a charger” slogan, and that now appears to be coming to an end.
