Today the Red Magic 10 Pro was officially launched internationally. And now, just hours after launch, the phone has already undergone a durability test by Zack from JerryRigEverything on YouTube. As usual, this means the screen will be tested for both scratch resistance and fire resistance, and attempts will also be made to bend the phone out of shape.
So if that all sounds interesting, sit back, grab some popcorn and/or a drink of your choice, and click play below.
In case you couldn’t watch for some reason, here’s the gist of it. The device has an RGB fan with a socket in the frame, which is probably why it has no IP rating and no camera bump at all – both of which are very niche features these days, so they’re interesting to see.
The screen glass scratches at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, with deeper grooves visible at level 7 – just like on any other smartphone. The frame is of course made of aluminum, just like the buttons. The screen’s pixels start burning after being exposed to a direct flame for 15 seconds and never recover, so avoid that in real life.
Finally the bending test. The Red Magic 10 Pro survives with flying colors. You can bend it from the front or from the back, and there are no cracks, no kinks, no damage whatsoever.
