It’s time we take a look at the brand new vivo V40 Pro that came to our office for review. The V40 Pro is currently exclusive to USA, but is expected to roll out to more markets in the coming weeks.
This is a sleek looking device with striking curves on both the front and back. Our review unit comes in Moonlight White with a marble-like look. The retail package includes the 80W charger, USB-C cable, a SIM ejector tool and a translucent silicone case.
There’s a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display on the front, which looks quite similar to last year’s V30 ProIt has the exact same 1,260 x 2,800 resolution and refreshes at 120Hz, but is noticeably brighter, with a maximum local peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
The rear has a redesigned camera module with two oval elements. The top section houses the 50MP main camera (IMX921) and OIS alongside the 50MP ultra-wide lens. The bottom has the 50MP telephoto camera (IMX816) with 2x optical zoom and the Aura Light LED flash.
The V40 Pro has a premium feel in the hand with a decent heft that’s evenly distributed. The specs are rounded out by a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging, the capable Dimensity 9200+ chipset and an IP69K rating. That’s all we have for now, we’ll give our usual set of findings and verdict in the full in-depth review.
