Days after the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro were launched in USAOppo is introducing two new models in the series: one 5G phone and one 4G, both marked with the letter F. They are virtually the same device, apart from the different chipsets inside.
Oppo Reno13 F • Oppo Reno13 F 5G
The Oppo Reno13 F 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, while its 4G sibling the HelioG100. Both are paired with LPDDR4X RAM (2,133 MHz), 8/12 GB in the case of the 5G phone, only 8 GB for the 4G phone. There’s a bigger difference in storage: the 5G uses faster UFS 3.1 (128/256/512 GB), while its sibling gets the older UFS 2.2 (256/512 GB). In both cases there is a microSD slot if you need more space.

The screens are the same: 6.67-inch OLED panels with a 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. They have 100% coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces and can reach 1,200 nits in high brightness mode. Both are protected by Dragontrail Star 2 glass.
Speaking of protection, the Reno13 F-duo is rated IP6X (dust-tight) and IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 – the latter two mean it can survive 2 meters under water and hot water jets of 80°C for half an hour. In addition, the interior is designed to absorb shock when the phone is dropped.
The phones have triple cameras on the back. This includes a 50 MP main lens (f/1.8 lens with OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (112°) and a 2 MP macro camera. On the front there is a 32MP selfie camera (f/2.4, 82°). The 5G model’s more powerful chipset enables 4K@30fps recording with the rear camera, while the 4G Oppo Reno13 F only does 1080p.
Both phones run on large 5,800 mAh batteries, which should last more than 14 hours of light gaming and will retain 80% (at least) of their capacity after 4 years. They support 45W SuperVOOC Flash Charge, which can charge them from 1% to 44% in 30 minutes.
The F phones will be available in Plume Purple, Graphite Grey, Skyline Blue and Luminous Blue.
The Oppo Reno13 F and Reno13 F 5G will first be launched in the Asia Pacific region. The exact dates and prices will be announced soon. This will be followed by a wider rollout (again, details TBA).
