The Xiaomi Mix Flip was announced in July and a week later a country manager said the foldable version would be launched worldwide. Now there is confirmation straight from above.
CEO Lei Jun posted on X that the Mix Flip will be available globally starting in September. He didn’t give an exact date, but there’s not much left of the month so we shouldn’t have to wait more than a week or two.
The post is a response to a poll that Lei Jun posted a few days after Mix launched. The results of that poll were overwhelmingly positive, with nearly 80% of voters excited to have the Mix Flip available in their region.
Fans all over the world are raving about the Mix Flip
There are no confirmed pricing details yet, but we’ve heard it’ll be €1,300 in Central and Eastern Europe ($1,400 or so). Of course, that’s based on what a regional manager said in July, so plans may have changed.
Lei Jun shared some details about what went into building the company’s first foldable phone:
When we started the #XiaomiMIXFlip project, we set out to create a foldable device that could rival a flat-screen flagship in terms of performance. Years of hard work and hundreds of design iterations finally brought us the Xiaomi MIX Flip that we are excited to introduce to the world. As our first clamshell phone, it represents a significant milestone in the evolution of flip-style foldables. We are confident that the MIX Flip will live up to the high expectations of our global Xiaomi fans!

PS. Lei Jun only talked about the Mix Flip, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 probably resides in China.
