The rumor of massive camera upgrades for the Samsung Galaxy S25Ultra fell through – that’s the latest report only the ultra-wide camera will be upgraded to a 50 MP sensor (ISOCELL JN3) and that’s it. The main camera will reuse the 200 MP ISOCELL HP2, the 10 MP module will retain the 10 MP Sony IMX754, the 5x module will similarly retain its 50 MP IMX854 sensor.
But the cameras do Look different. That has to count for something, right? Here is an image shared by lekster Ice universewhich shows the new design for the individual camera lenses, with a thick, dark ring around them.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra gets a new design for the camera lenses
This coincides with the design language we’ve seen renders of other S25 models. It’s similar in design to the Galaxy Z Fold6, but without the extra bump around all the cameras. This means that suitcases must be able to make the back completely flat.
The lens design of the S25 will be similar, but not identical, to that of the Galaxy Z Fold6
The camera layout remains the same, meaning the Galaxy S25 phones still look quite the same. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will distinguish itself from its predecessors rounded corners and a promise of improved ergonomics, including reducing the width and weight of the device.
