It has long been rumored that Samsung would launch a cheaper entry in its Z series, and it is almost certain that this will happen. will not be a Z-fold foldable in book style. A new rumor suggests that Samsung will instead opt for a Z Flip FE clamshell that could debut alongside the upcoming Galaxy S25 Slim sometime in April.
The new report doesn’t provide any details on the specs or pricing of the upcoming Flip FE, but does mention a coinciding launch of the Galaxy Z Fold7, which should also mean the Z Flip7 as Samsung usually announces both the Fold and Flips together.
Samsung does rumors to launch two Folds next year, but it remains to be seen whether either will fit the budget FE moniker. A more likely scenario is a vanilla Galaxy Z Fold7 as a successor to the Z Fold6 and a new version for the Z-fold special edition.
