Following the announcement this week, we have the Galaxy Z Fold6 for review.
At this point, it should come as no surprise that the phone comes with nothing more than a SIM tool and a USB cable. Perhaps more unexpectedly, it comes with anything at all.
The biggest visual change to the Galaxy Z Fold6 is its squarer, flatter profile. It looks smart and is easily distinguishable. We like the new, larger camera rings, even if the cameras inside are unchanged (and frankly unimpressive).
While we’re on the subject of unchanged – the battery is the same 4,400mAh unit and even sadder, it charges at a weak 25 watts. Come on Samsung, it’s time to speed things up!
Samsung has tweaked the aspect ratios of both displays slightly. On paper, it might not seem like much, but put the new Fold next to the Galaxy Z Fold5 and you’ll see the difference. The Galaxy Z Fold6 is a touch more usable, and we’re happy about that.
The same goes for the internal display, and both are brighter than before – another welcome improvement. Naturally, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, which ensures faster performance and greater efficiency.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 and the Galaxy Z Fold5
The Galaxy Z Fold6 is a slightly more expensive than its predecessorwhich has had several price reductions in the meantime. It might be a good idea to buy the old one, but you should probably wait for our review. Stay tuned!
