Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Flip FE share a chipset that you might not like

Samsung has apparently confirmed to Korean media that production yields of the Exynos 2500 are improving, after a few months of struggle.

So the company plans to use both the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FEwhich is also expected in 2025, with the Exynos 2500 SoC. Of course, that could prove to be quite controversial, as the reputation of the Exynos chipsets hasn’t been great in recent years.

Interestingly, the report doesn’t say anything about the Galaxy Z Fold7 – so perhaps there’s a chance it could use a Qualcomm chip. And that would make sense, since the Fold line is more enthusiast-oriented than Samsung’s foldables, while the Flips are more mass-market and style-oriented. So if this wild speculation of ours comes true, it could be that the company doesn’t want to offend enthusiasts with its choice.

The Exynos 2500 would debut in the United States Galaxy S25 series in January, but the yield issues experienced so far have forced Samsung to switch to Qualcomm for those models, the report said.
