People on the internet don’t seem to like it Google’s new smartphone naming convention scheme, even if it is logical – there is a vanilla Pixel9 what the lowest specs are, two slab Pros in two sizes, and a Pro Fold because with that price tag it would be madness not to attach the “Pro” name to it.

Either way, the same people likely won’t be happy with the direction Samsung is now reportedly considering taking going forward. According to a tipster at X, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may not end up being called that. Instead, Samsung may go with the Galaxy S26 Note, in order to put more emphasis on the built-in S Pen.

But wait, that’s not all! The Galaxy S26+ might actually be called the Galaxy S26 Pro, we assume, because Samsung has finally caught on to the trend of Professional models everywhereand that word is currently missing from the mobile portfolio.

Don’t take this for granted, as it’s still very early and even the source of the rumor only suggests that the Korean company… think about changing the brand identity, not that this has been decided yet.

That aside, which do you think sounds better? S26 Ultra or S26 Note? S26+ or S26 Pro? Let us know in the comments.
