Samsung fully launched the Galaxy ring this summer, and so we expected the successor (if there was one) to arrive next summer. However, that may not be the case, as one tipster now claims. According to this unverified rumor, the Galaxy Ring 2 is coming, and it will arrive sooner than initially planned.
Unfortunately, the source does not elaborate on the specific time frame of the launch, so we can only speculate: January together with the Galaxy S25 family seems too early, July with the next wave of foldable devices is not early compared to expectations, so the next Galaxy Ring should arrive somewhere in between? That doesn’t make sense, since we don’t see Samsung organizing a whole event specifically for it. So maybe it will come in January after all? Only time will tell.
Either way, when it arrives, it will have better battery life than the original, and it will be thinner too. It will apparently have some new features too, but these haven’t been detailed so we can only hope that NFC for payments is one of them.
As usual with rumors like this, remember that it’s just one unverified source claiming all this, so maybe everything you just read comes true, or maybe it doesn’t – it could go either way.
