Small but powerful phones are quite popular on the Internet, even if “small” has not been an accurate term in recent years. And boy, has vivo released one of the best small yet powerful phones we’ve seen yet.
We’re talking about the vivo X200 ProminiNaturally. The phone received an overwhelmingly positive response that could become even more positive if the mini passes the reviews with flying colors. Some found things they didn’t like about the mini: they wished for a 200 MP sensor in the telephoto camera or didn’t like the optical fingerprint reader (the big Pro has an ultrasonic one). And of course the size: with a 6.3-inch screen, it’s just a mini compared to the huge slabs we have for flagship phones these days.
The vivo X200 Pro was also warmly received; In fact, without the mini this would have been a great result. There is more uncertainty here, so more people will wait and read the reviews before making a decision. Price is also a concern for this model. Note that we only know Chinese prices for now, as vivo has yet to announce which X200 models will be available on the global market (let alone how much they will cost).
Predictably, the vanilla vivoX200 is the least exciting model of the trio. If it is well reviewed and delivered at the right price, it could become popular in its own right. The cuts in hardware may have been too much and a large group of people think the X200 isn’t right for them.
We are working on a full review of the vivo X200 Pro. Some results are ready, so you can learn more about the battery endurance before the full review appears. We also have hands-on reviews of the X200 Promini and the X200.
