Oppo recently released the Find X8 And Find X8 Pro in China, en vivo has done the same with the X200, X200ProAnd X200 Promini. However, it has long been rumored that both companies will also launch respective Ultra models, their ultimate flagships for 2025.
And now a new rumor claims neither Oppo Find X8 Ultra neither the vivo X200 Ultra will be officially sold outside of China. So if you want a high-end Oppo or vivo and aren’t in China, the Find X8 Pro and the X200 Pro are the best you’ll ever get.

If true, it’s certainly disappointing to say the least, but it’s not all that surprising considering Chinese companies like Oppo, vivo, and Xiaomi have resorted to such tactics before. We assume it all has to do with the fact that sales outside of China are low enough for these ultra-expensive flagships that it’s not considered worth the investment in global software optimization, but we can’t help but think that these companies missing the point – halo or aspirational products are not necessarily intended to generate big profits themselves, but can attract many people to a brand even if most will end up buying cheaper products from the same brand.
With this strategy, those who follow the industry will be disappointed with these brands, while those who don’t follow mobile news obviously won’t care at all. We’ll assume you’re in the former camp, so let us know what you think about this – but of course, remember it’s just a rumor at this point.
