One UI 7 is expected to launch in January 2025, alongside the Galaxy S25 series. We have seen leaked images of the interface, which will be based on Android 15, but now on the YouTube channel Brother with mobile has revealed more about the user interface in its latest video.

Installed on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the software reveals some design improvements, including a split Quick Panel – one page for notifications and the other for quick settings. The video is not in English, but thanks to the power of YouTube Auto Translate, anyone can understand the key points.

On the lock screen you can change the position of the clock and mini widgets, and now there’s a mini pill-shaped element at the bottom for emergency calls and charging animation.

During the video, we could see different app icons for some system apps, such as Camera, Contacts and Gallery. Widgets such as Battery, Device Maintenance and Weather have been redesigned, and we could also discover some new widgets such as Images, Stories and Secure Wi-Fi.

The notification panel showed that notifications become larger with rounded edges. We don’t know if this will be the default setting or if it can be customized. It’s visually better but puts less information on the screen, especially for people who get different notifications all the time.
