The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is a great upgrade over last year’s model and a great device overall. It has the shadow of the Galaxy S24 hanging over it, but the FE is cheaper. On a side note, the 20% off Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra offer from last week is still available.
Amazon is offering 10% off the Galaxy S24 FE (which you get at checkout) and has bundled the phone with a free Galaxy Watch FE, which is worth £150, as we’ll see below.
The Galaxy Watch FE is Samsung’s cheapest smartwatch (not including the Fit3 smartband). The Wi-Fi version normally costs €200, but you can get a €50 discount at checkout.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G was launched on Friday, so no discounts yet. The phone is still worth a look – it’s supported for seven years with OS and security updates and now has an IP54 rating to help it survive that long. The phone comes with a 3-year extended warranty, which helps.
Amazon is also offering free gifts with the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. You can get the Pixel Buds Pro 2 for free if you buy one of these phones. But considering they are currently at MSRP, they are quite expensive.
The Google Pixel Buds Pro are worth £220, so getting them for free is a nice discount, but only if you need new TWS earbuds.
The Honor Magic6 Lite has a huge 43% discount, but even at its original price of £350 the phone looks more expensive than it actually is. It has a curved OLED screen and a leatherette back, which gives a premium feel. In reality it is a mid-range device. A pretty good one, mind you, because that 6.78-inch screen has a resolution of 1,220 x 2,652 px, while many in its class run 1080p+ screens.
And the rear camera has a 108MP sensor in the main module, although the 5MP ultra-wide angle is less inspiring. The 5,300 mAh battery ensures good endurance. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 isn’t ideal, but it’s better than what you normally get at this price.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is now a year old and Xiaomi has never said how long it will be supported. Still, it currently has a nice discount and is equipped with sufficient RAM and storage. The Pro+ model uses the Dimensity 7200 Ultra, has an IP68 rating and 120W charging for the 5,000mAh battery.
You can also get the cheaper Redmi Note 13 Pro. This has the same 6.67” 12-bit OLED screen as its more expensive sibling, and also the same 200+8+2 MP camera. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and a 5,100mAh battery with 67W charging. The Pro has an IP54 rating for weaker dust and water resistance.
