Nubia just revealed its latest flagship with Leica cameras and a large display without cuts, thanks to the 16MP camera under the display. The company also shared the first unboxing and promo video for the new phone.
The nubia Z70 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and a larger 6,150mAh battery with 80W charging. The 6.85-inch screen runs at up to 144Hz and has a higher pixel density than the Z60 Ultra screen. The main 50MP camera now has a variable aperture for the 35mm lens. The 64 MP 2.7x periscope can focus at close range (15 cm) and the 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera has a wider lens compared to its predecessor (122° vs. 100°).
The new model is thinner and lighter (8.6mm, 228g vs. 8.8mm, 246g), but also more robust as it now has an IP69 rating. As you saw in the video, there is a limited edition model with a back inspired by Van Gogh’s The Starry Night (this is a trademark for the nubia phones).
The nubia Z70 Ultra is already available for pre-order in China, starting at CNY 4,600 ($635). Shipments begin on the 25th (Monday). A worldwide launch is planned November 26.
