Nothing launches the phone (2a) Plus on July 31st, and you may have been wondering what that “Plus” suffix stands for. Today we get our first piece of the puzzle, as the brand has begun its usual style of teaser campaign, trickling us out with information leading up to the announcement.
The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset, which clocks in at up to 3GHz. This, Nothing promises, will make the Plus 10% faster than the Telephone (2a).
Additionally, the GPU in this SoC is clocked 30% faster than the one in the Phone’s Dimensity 7200 Pro (2a), allowing it to “crunch through complex graphics faster and crunch numbers more quickly.”
Nothing also claims that the Dimensity 7350 Pro is “a world first”, but as ever that’s misleading – the Dimensity 7350 will certainly be seen in other devices, it’s simply the “Pro” version that is exclusive to Nothing and has supposedly been modified in collaboration with Nothing. It was the same story with the Dimensity 7200 Pro in the Phone (2a), but there were no details offered as to what these supposed modifications actually are.
Anyway, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will also feature 12GB of RAM and support 8GB RAM Boost by utilizing the free storage.
Stay tuned, as Nothing will undoubtedly release more details about the upcoming device in the coming days.
