As the name suggests, Nothing Ear (Open) are Nothing’s first open-ear wireless earbuds. They feature an on-ear design with wraparound earhooks and have the now-signature Nothing look with their semi-transparent design. They don’t offer active noise cancellation, as Ear (Open) is aimed at users who value situational awareness and all-day comfort.
Design has always been a focus for Nothing products, and the Ear (open) has the now signature translucent look associated with the brand. The new earbuds have speakers that rest outside your ear and a three-point balance system with silicone ear hooks. Nothing developed a new Sound Seal System with directional speakers to prevent sound leakage and ensure privacy.
Each earbud weighs 8.1 grams and both the earbud and case are IP54 dust and splash resistant.
In-ear (open) features 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers and connects via Bluetooth 5.3 with dual device pairing support. Each earbud is equipped with dual microphones, Clear Voice 3.0 technology and squeeze controls for media playback, volume adjustment and call management.
Like previous Nothing earbuds, the Ear (Open) work with the Nothing X app. You can customize and share your EQ profiles, tweak controls, and update their firmware from within the app. The earbuds also support Find My Network, low-latency mode for gaming, and built-in ChatGPT connectivity, which requires a Nothing phone to work.
