After skipping a few generations, Motorola has just brought back the Moto G4x series with a new device, which launched first in USA. Welcome to the Moto G45, a smartphone with a 5G chipset and three vibrant color options that costs around $150.
The Moto G45 comes with a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, the same chip found in the Moto G85, which is clocked at 2.3GHz on its powerful CPU cores. RAM comes in 4GB or 8GB, while storage is only 128GB, but can be expanded via a microSD card in the hybrid slot.
The Moto G45 is built around a basic 6.5-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, but offers at least a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a punch-hole for the 16MP camera and a sheet of Gorilla Glass 3 on top for added protection.
On the back, there’s a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, alongside a 2MP macro sensor.
One of the Moto G45’s biggest selling points is its colorful looks. Motorola has partnered with Pantone once again, and the device comes in Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, and Viva Magenta, which was Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2023. All three options have a vegan leather back and there’s NFC underneath the panel.
Motorola has equipped the phone with a 5,000mAh battery and is selling it with a 20W TurboPower charger in the box. The operating system is Android 14 with a promise of virtually no bloatware, which is always good. The Moto G45 also has an FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack, features that continue to be loved by many customers in USA.
The Moto G45 pricing has been set at INR10,999 ($130/€117) for the base 4/128GB variant and INR12,999 ($155/€140) for the 8/128GB model. Sales will begin on August 28 on Flipkart, Motorola USA and select offline stores.
