Apple doesn’t like to advertise exact battery capacities for its iPhones, so we always have to rely on other sources to get those – certifications from regulatory agencies, teardowns, that sort of thing. The same goes for the recently announced iPhone 16 familybut now we finally have the exact numbers, thanks to Brazilian regulator Anatel.
So, the iPhone 16 has a 3,561 mAh battery, 6.3% more than his predecessor‘s. The iPhone 16 Plus has a 4,674 mAh battery, an increase of 6.6%. The iPhone 16 Pro gets a 3,582 mAh battery, 9.4% more than the iPhone 15 Pro‘s, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max features a 4,685 mAh cell, a 5.5% increase over the iPhone 15 Pro Max‘S.
So there’s one clear winner in terms of increase over last year’s models, and that’s the iPhone 16 Pro. But that doesn’t mean the other devices don’t have very good battery life – thanks to the A18 and A18 Pro chips Thanks to improved thermal technology and internal design, both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max last significantly longer than their predecessors, despite small (and different) increases in battery capacity.
In addition, all iPhone 16 models support the faster 25W MagSafe chargingIf you buy one of Apple’s new MagSafe chargers to take advantage of this, you’ll also need to plug it into a 30W power adapter. The new devices can also charge at up to 45W via USB-C.
The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max available today all over the world.
