Honor will announce new phones in the X60 series next week (October 16, Wednesday), which will be a more expensive offering than the Honor X60i from July. The company has taken to Weibo to tease features of the new models, including a huge battery.
This will be the debut of a battery called “Honor Qinghai Lake”, which will have a capacity of 6,600 mAh. The X60 phone promises a battery life of 2 days.
The Honor X60 series will pack a massive 6,600mAh battery
It’s quite an increase over last year’s main X50 trio, the Honor X50, X50GT And X50 Proall of which had 5,800 mAh batteries with 35W charging power. Now, Honor has yet to confirm the charging speed of the new series.
And notice that leaked hands-on photos of the Honor X60 detailed a phone with a 5,800mAh battery and 35W charging, just like its predecessor. This suggests that the 6,600mAh battery will only be available on the X60 Pro.
The company has revealed more, but not about the energy system. The Honor X60 series (or at least one phone in it) supports satellite communications. The displays will also use 3,840 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

We expect to see more teasers before the launch of the Honor X60 next week. And maybe there’s more to it than just the phones. Recently, the Honor X60 and a Honor Tablet GT Pro was spotted in official listingsso a new 12.3-inch tablet may also be unveiled on Wednesday.
