The Pixel 9 series launched less than two weeks ago with four members, including a vanilla Pixel 9, two Pros, and a foldable. That leaves room for one more device in the A-series, and we have our first live look at the upcoming Pixel 9a.

From the front, the device looks just like the recent crop of Pixel 9s, with a flat display and a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The bezels appear to be thicker than those on the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro models, which wouldn’t be a surprise given the Pixel8a also had thicker brims than its siblings.

The sides of the 9a appear to be made of aluminum, like the Pixel 9, and have the same matte finish. The SIM tray, USB-C port, and speaker are all located at the bottom. Around the back, the 9a has an all-glass back with a small camera bar housing the dual cameras and a glossy ring surrounding the sensors that sits nearly flush with the back.

The new leak suggests that the Pixel 9a will launch later this year and will be available in four colors, including black (pictured above) and silver. The device is expected to launch with Google’s new Tensor G4 chipset.
