Tasty Ice universe is known for many things: its accuracy, its insights, and its obsession with smoothly animated user interfaces. Okay, we’re kidding, but Ice compares One UI’s animations to those of iOS quite often and Samsung’s current skins are lacking.
The upcoming One UI 7 has the potential to change all that – Ice posted this video testing how jumping between apps and the phone didn’t miss a beat.
For some reason the leaker deleted the original post, but fellow X user @TechKhaled_ saved it and reposted it.
New One UI 7 animations, both widget and app animations are non-linear and parallel 😍😍

And we should point out that One UI 7 is still in active development. That’s both praise and admonition – to see it so smoothly before it even enters beta is certainly encouraging, but…
The latest version of Samsung’s Android skin has suffered multiple delays. The original plan may have been to reveal it during the unveiling SDC 24but it wasn’t ready yet. And from the looks of it, it is won’t be ready this year – this means that Samsung’s Android 15 update is well behind the competition.
Yesterday Samsung announced a new developer conference, SDC Korea 24which will be an online event. There’s a chance we’ll get more details about One UI 7 – maybe not a full reveal, but at least a showcase of some of the new features and news about the public beta that will come before the stable release.
