Smartphones
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra costs less than $1,000 if you get the 256GB variant. The 512GB model is a $120 upgrade.
The S24 Ultra is challenged for camera dominance by the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, which also costs less than $1,000. However, this is with more RAM (16 GB vs. 12 GB) but less storage (128 GB). Check out our head to head comparison for more information.
If you want a smaller phone, the Google Pixel 9 Pro has exactly the same camera as the Pro XL. The 6.3-inch display keeps this model relatively compact.
Of the cheaper offerings, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE costs less than $500 for the base 8/128GB model. Note that you can get the Galaxy Buds FE for $50 if you get them with the S24 FE. However, just the buttons themselves currently cost around $60, so the latter is optional.
The new FE became larger with a 6.7-inch display. Once again Google offers a smaller alternative with the 6.3” Pixel 9. It doesn’t have a dedicated telephoto camera, but the main one is the same as the Pro’s with a 1/1.3” sensor and the ultrawide has a 48 MP sensor.
Foldable devices and tablets
Next we move on to foldable models with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, which has a great discount of $580 for the 12/256 GB model.
The comparable Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is more expensive: $1,500 for a 16/256 GB model.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, a 10.9-inch tablet with the Exynos 1380 chipset, is 42% off for the base model with 128 GB of storage. You can expand this with a microSD, but note that it only has 6GB of RAM (the 256GB variant has 8GB of RAM).
The larger Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, this time with a 12.4-inch screen (both 90Hz IPS LCDs), gets a 33% discount. This has 8 GB of RAM with all storage configurations.
You can also opt for a Windows tablet, the Microsoft Surface Pro tablet, which is powered by the Snapdragon X Plus or the Elite. Please note that the Plus version has an LCD screen, while the Elite model uses an OLED screen (both are 13 inches in size). mate).
Laptops
Last weekwe looked at some Apple computer deals, now prices are even lower on select Macs. You can buy the 13-inch Apple MacBook Air with an M3 chip and 16 GB of RAM for less than $900. The 15-inch variant costs $200 more.
There are also ARM-powered Windows laptops, such as the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge. This variant is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite (8-core CPU). So not the best Qualcomm chip, but it’s a 15.6-inch laptop for $700 (with more storage than the MacBook, but it’s soldered with eUFS so neither is upgradeable).
Microsoft has the Surface Laptop line. The 13.8-inch model uses the Snapdragon X Plus in its base configuration (10-core CPU), but you can upgrade to the
The 15” model is only available with the Snapdragon X Elite model. Both have 3:2” LCD screens.
Smart watches
Finally some Samsung smartwatches. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 is the 2023 model and costs around $150 depending on whether you want the 40mm or 44mm variant. The Watch FE also costs about the same price, but the Watch6 is the better model with things like a newer chipset and blood pressure monitoring.
You can also get the Galaxy Watch6 Classic for $100 more if you’re a fan of the rotating hardware bezel. That’s something the 2024 Watches don’t have.
Speaking of which, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is actually cheaper than the Classic and has an advanced 3nm chipset versus 5nm on the Watch6.
There’s also the rugged Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra – it’s available in just one configuration: 47mm with LTE connectivity.
