At this year’s Samsung Developer Conference, the company made its upcoming One UI 7 based on Android 15. This is perhaps the most interesting part of the entire keynote. However, there are also other developments in Samsung products, such as Tizen OS.
As a reminder, One UI 7 will be released in early 2025, while a beta version of the software will be available to users by the end of this year. The new operating system will feature a new user interface design, more customization options, and deeper AI integration that will be more contextual depending on location, environment, etc.
Speaking of AI, Samsung has also announced on-device AI capabilities for devices running Tizen OS. This will enable a more responsive and personalized experience and better integration with the Galaxy ecosystem. AI allows users to seamlessly control devices and complete tasks on the go.
Even refrigerators and vacuum cleaners will get a taste of AI. For example, AI Vision will be implemented in refrigerators, giving you up-to-date information about what you have in the refrigerator and relevant recipe suggestions. And AI Floor Detect will make vacuum cleaners more efficient and intelligent.
Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem will also get smarter with AI. It will offer Home Insight, which analyzes real-time data and patterns to optimize home management. Samsung’s AI technology is also integrated into Bixby, offering advanced voice control features without wake-up commands. Smart displays, including TVs, feature AI for content recommendations, AI upscaling, and even real-time adjustment using generative AI.
