Last month, Samsung announced that it is rolling out the One UI Watch 6 update to the Galaxy Watch6, Watch5 and Watch4 units, but that the update would be rolled out gradually.
A few days ago, Galaxy Watch4 users started reporting that the update is live for their devices – starting with Korean units, and today some Galaxy Watch6 owners in Europe are getting their One UI Watch 6 service.
In all cases, the One UI Watch 6 update is based on the latest Wear OS 5 and includes the October 2024 security patch. One UI Watch 6 brings a small visual change with smoother animations and reworked icons. There are a few new One UI Watch 6 faces, including Spatial Number, Simple Digital, and Ultra Infor Board.
It also introduces Energy Score, which combines your sleep quality with activity levels and heart rate data to give you an overall health score.
Sleep tracking provides better tracking of your movements and breathing rate, and makes the sleep apnea detection feature accessible to older models.
Interestingly, there aren’t many reports of Galaxy Watch5 users getting the update. If you own a Series 4, 5, or 6 Galaxy Watch, check your Galaxy Wearable app and your version of the Galaxy Wearable plugin for an update.
