Say a big hello to 2025 Lincoln Navigatornow bigger and more tech-packed than ever before. This is the fifth generation of Lincoln‘s luxury SUV with three rows of seats. The basics are largely the same, but the look and interior experience are completely new.
As for those hard points, the Navigator still rolls with a body-on-frame construction, independent rear suspension and the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. Said engine produces 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, same power as the 2024 modelBoth the standard and L models are available again, with the latter model pictured in white below.
While this Navigator may ultimately drive the same as the current one, it certainly looks largely new from the outside. A new grille design gives it a bold, loud, and proud aesthetic up front and is complemented by a large light bar for even more visual presence. Like other new Lincolns, this one features the “Lincoln Embrace” approach that plays an animation through the lights to welcome your return to the car. The full-width taillights do the same with new light-up “3D” badging. Chrome has been thrown out the window in favor of satin aluminum trim accents (a Jet Black Appearance package will apply gloss black trim instead), and like the renewed Escalade24-inch wheels are new to the party – 22-inch wheels are the new standard.
One particularly new and striking feature you’ll notice on the exterior is the “Lincoln Split Gate”, which is essentially a split tailgate like the ones you find on other cars. on BMWs And Range RoversLike others, the tailgate is split so that three-quarters of the tailgate opens and the rest folds down. It makes loading and unloading easier, but it can also be used as a seat (600-pound capacity) when parked. Lincoln even offers a “Cargo Tailgate Manager” option that can function as a tailgate backrest, a table for tailgating events, or to split the cargo area into a multi-tiered storage space.
Things really start to look a whole lot new when you climb into the front seats and check out the new 48-inch panoramic display that spans the width of the dashboard. You’ll recognize the Lincoln Digital Experience setup from the 2024 Nautilus where he made his debutand it works similarly here. Both the 11.1-inch touchscreen infotainment and thumb controls on the steering wheel (along with voice commands) can be used to control what’s happening on the giant screen in front of you. A new circular steering wheel shouldn’t block your view of the big screen. Lincoln has added video streaming and in-vehicle games that are available to play on the Navigator’s giant Pano display, but only when the car is in Park. The infotainment is also powered by Android Automotive, which means you get Google Maps for navigation and the Google Assistant for voice commands. And yes, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are still on the menu.
Those in the second row will now enjoy their time there even more, with available “Second-Row Power Tailored Seats.” The captain’s chairs are fully powered with heating, ventilation and massage functions. With the simple push of a button, they slide out of the way for access to the third row, which is optionally heated and 40/20/40 folding. No one will have trouble finding an outlet, as Lincoln says this Navigator is equipped with 14 USB ports throughout and even has a cordless phone charger for the second row (optional).
Lincoln says it’s ramped up the luxury throughout the cabin from a materials perspective, and there are two new Black Label themes to choose from: Enlighten (above left) and Atmospheric (above right). Enlighten, which is meant to evoke a sunrise, combines beige, brown, gray and black tones with laser-etched birch wood trim. Atmospheric, which evokes a stormy day, is composed of gray, black and copper. to colour with ash wood trim throughout. And as an added bonus with Atmospheric, Lincoln extends the “Radiant Copper” accents to the grille, fender badging and 24-inch wheels. This is the first time Lincoln has carried the interior theme of a Black Label to the exterior of a vehicle.
Fancy “Rejuvenate” programs are designed to make this Navigator more luxurious with 5-10 minute sequences. Names like “Waterfall Meditation,” “Aurora Borealis” and more, filling the screens with accompanying visuals, activating the massaging seats, adjusting the mood lighting and filling the cabin with scent. A 28-speaker Revel audio system plays accompanying sound, and the 30-way seats move into a more relaxed position, assuming you’re in park.
Driving should also be relaxing, as the latest version of BlueCruise Hands-free driving comes standard for four years, after which you’ll need to pay a subscription to keep it. A new “Turn Signal View” feature places a live video feed of your blind spot on the 48-inch screen whenever you turn on your turn signal, and a new Intersection Assist feature can brake the car when turning left if it detects an impending accident due to oncoming traffic.
This new Navigator will go on sale next spring, with pricing to be announced closer to the delivery date.
